Damnit - A HillPac friend in DC just jerked on the memory strings

With this photo she found from NH Primary day. That would be NewHampster on the right. This is just before he signed the back of my hoodie. He joined us at the Londonderry Polls for almost an hour in the morning. And people wonder why I'm a fanatic.
Thanks Sarah. It is a wonderful picture I will always treasure.

Or what you said to him? Such a cool pix!
That's a wonderful photo!
Man oh man, NewHampster, how lucky were you! I probably wouldn't have been able to speak, if I had ever had the chance the meet Bill in person. I know you will always treasure that moment in time.
put his hand on my shoulder and just after this pic he leaned over me to shake a hand behind me. In the process he knocked off my badge, reached down to pick it up and pinned it back on my coat.
If I was a woman that would have been a swooning moment.

not savvy enough to cross load my video from my puter to the web- sigh. I have quite a lot of video I shot of BOTH Clinton's in Erie. PA and of President Clinton in Meadville, PA (birthplace of the direct primary.)
I had taken a group of my younger co-workers to the Bill rally in Meadville. They were very impressed! And not a one voted for fraud almighty! I have the satisfaction at least of having helped create a small group of young people who will always be informed voters. We had lots of discussions about the responsibility of each and every voter to research, educate and inform themselves and others. We talked about how the media can no longer be relied on for "news" as it is now info-tainment.
SIGH!!! As my reward for creating this group of imformed young voters, God saw fit to allow me to get up on the rope line at the Bill rally. Where I got HUGGED! A true, warm, thanks for your support hug!
As long as there are Americans like President Clinton, Hillary and US! the country will survive. I amy not be rich and I can't afford to donate, but I CAN and WILL continue to educate citizens young and old about what it means to be a RESPONSIBLE voter!
As an aside, I am headed back to MA today- will be off-line for a few days! Talk to you when I get back!
That must have been one great hug.

I am full of envy!
NH, can I ask you an OT question? You made this blog, right? With Drupal? I'm curious about that -- is it hard/expensive to do? Do you have any posts about the tech side of it?
I like the set-up a lot -- looks like a cool way to have a group blog and I'm idly imagining getting some kind if group blog for book reviews for pumas and puma cubs.
it's not easy. One problem I do have is that they are extremely tech oriented so things like upgrades are not straight forward. I would stay away unless you are a geek.
I have the two busiest weeks of my year coming up. After that I'm upgrading this site and adding features to allow exactly what you are talking about. Multiple areas with their own blogs and forums.
Currently we have the forums which can do this.
My plans are for a reading club sort of place and others.

Wow. I wonder what I would have done if I had the chance to shake Bill's hand.
If you live in NH and are a political junkie, there is no reason you can't meet every future President. This year I met all the dem candidates except for Obama. I had plenty of chances to meet him but I feared for my soul and stayed away.

I would have been afraid I would have slipped and given him a dose of reality.....My hubby calls me TOO honest.
Another good thing you have in NH, LIQUOR STORES! :) I miss being close enough for my road trips now. You guys carry "Tamnavulin. An absolutely terrific Single Malt Scotch. :) And in land of NM, they control the liquor big time, one distributor...but he pays well to his connections.
And it was that way in Cincinnati, OH, too. That's why our road trips up to you were fun. Hubby used to drive by the Jim Beam Factory every day and being over the river from Kentucky, well 'nuf said. All that Bourbon didn't want to compete Scotch, especially the Barrel Bourbons, Bakers, Bookers, Knob Creek, Basil Haydens. Makers Mark I don't think ever had to worry.
the backend business stuff. we were over there this summer for a small dinner party and he brings out an engraved silver bottle of Maker's Mark that he was given by the distributor or someone.
Heaven.

So nice to see you both!
